This 153 page paperback book was edited by Noboru Yamanaka, (b.1896), and published by the Hoikusha Co., Ltd., Osaka Japan. This book contains beautifully photographed images of Sosaku,(Creative), Kokeshi, with a small section on Dento, (Traditional), Kokeshi dolls. Even though there is no English information included, the photographs of Creative dolls represent the most prominent and popular Kokeshi craftsmen of the 1950s-1960s. This is an important addition to the early Sosaku movement. This book is “Out of Print”, and is the first publication printed in 1969. All images are in black and white and color and makes this small book well worth owning by any collector. The book is in it original perfect condition with removable plastic cover.
