Offered are two beautiful, jewel tone, Vermillion glazed porcelain sake cups referred to as Noukou, meaning that the cups will enhance the taste of deep, firm, and rich cold sake. Both are wonderful to the touch and have white porcelain feet. Arita Ware with 400 years of history as a pottery production center. Arita is located in the western part of Saga Prefecture, it is famous for the first porcelain production in Japan.
A note about Sake Drinking: With serving fine sake the Japanese fill the cup to the brim and in many cases overflow the Sake as an act of kindness and generosity by the host to show their appreciation for the guest's friendship. It also works as a little act of celebration, to lift the spirits and to enjoy the present state of life.
Condition: Excellent without damage, chips, or discoloration.
