The Japanese omamori  is an object for protection and a type of amulet meant to be carried in ones pocket and contains a protective wish for protection and good health. Offered is a hand formed wood carving in the shape of a lotus pod, beautifully carved inside with the image of Buddha. It is made of quality, authenticity wood made from sacred trees which are discharged from the service of protecting the sanctified grounds of a shrine. The piece has a wish burned inside the lid and has a wonderful touch to the hand which requires rubbing to support a calming sensation, the we all need during these turbulent times. Comes in its’ protective pouch.

Condition: This beautifully formed piece in perfect, original condition, and exemplifies the beauty of wood from these special trees. It is in its original natural polished state. This ormamori was produced by hand and of higher quality due to the richer and melodious attention to detail and craftsmanship.

NOTE: In Buddhist symbolism, the lotus represents purity of the body, speech and mind, as if floating above the murky waters of the world. According to legend,  Buddha's first steps made lotus flowers appear everywhere he stepped.
