This is a wonderful Demitasse Spoon from Japan. The spoon has a faux bamboo motif shaft with a “C” Scroll supporting the finial terminating in a Komai handprinted finial of a classical Torri Gate, (A torii is a traditional Japanese gate most commonly found at the entrance of or within a Shinto shrine, where it symbolically marks the transition from the mundane to the sacred.) These typically came in a boxed set and would be great as a replacement piece or to complete a set. Marked Sterling Silver with the Toshikane Japan Mark on the back.
Condition: A quality spoon in excellent condition with few light oxidization marks, excellent pattern, and motif detail. There are no damage issues.
