Antique Japanese Bronze Rabbits | Pair Usagi Okimono

Dimensions: 7-0”h x 3-0”w x 5-0”L — 4-0”h x 2-3/4”w L

This wonderful pair of cast Bronze Rabbit effigy of two plump, relaxing rabbits, are creating having an attractive, variegated reddish-brown coloration; one standing and cleaning his paw with ears erect, and the second shown in a resting position, with ears flat back. Both have expressive face detailing, and a slight indication of fur randomly place throughout each body, adding a realistic charm to each figure. Both are quite heavy being made of bronze giving them stability. In Japan many live on their own island called, Okunoshima, also known as Usagi Shima, near Hiroshima, “pawloose” and living freely.
