Japanese Wood Top Container Folk Toy with Spinning Top Cover and Miniature Koma

This piece has a wonderfully fashioned cover which is a large spinning top for a charming wooden container that holds three (3) miniature tops inside. This is a type of Japanese Koma called the “oyako goma (top) - family tops.” The tops being housed are beautifully turned each having colored rings with a wooden spinning device to activate each. The special feature of this simple toy is its unique and large spinning top cover for the container that both houses tops.

Condition: Totally hand crated in excellent condition with no stains, broken or missing parts.
