Vintage Sosaku Kokeshi Dolls

 Overview

The Sosaku Kokeshi-kojin is a crfteperson who created spirit-infused, lathe-turned dolls from beginning to end, and represented some the artists that spun off from the original eleven families. These creative Kokeshi emerged in the early 1940s, and flourishe from the 1950s through the 1970s, and continues, even today.
